Reflection

First quarter of the school year is said to be the stage of getting to know one another again and getting acquainted with the ladder we are on. This is our last step of secondary education. This first quarter, I’ve learned to be more patient in dealing with school work and activities, such as blogging. Blogging is a one of a kind activity that not all students would know about it. Blogging is an awesome experience yet enjoyable itself. Experiencing this kind of activity/lesson is a great pleasure. I’m thankful enough and lucky that I got a chance to experience blogging within my high school moments.
School work is really stressful and I should exert more effort in my studies to gain appreciation both my parents and teachers. I may not have the highest honor but at least I’ve got appreciative grades. But high school life though easy as it may seem, there are also hassles and conflicts.
Relaxing, taking it easy and listening to stress relieving melodies are some ways for me to escape painful reality conflicts. Learning more and studying harder makes me feel worthy enough to focused and independently accept any challenges that will come.
Through motivation and open mindedness, I will do my very best in order to keep up!

SONA 2014

5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) of Pnoy

President Benigno Aquino delivered his fifth State of the Nation Address before both houses of Congress. This is his longest yet emotional speech ever. He said that when he assumed office, he will lead the right path or “Tuwid na daan”.
When President Aquino said his inaugural speech four years ago, he said that the Filipino people are his boss but now he is stating that he is like a father finding solution to the country’s problems rest on his shoulder.
In his 5th SONA, he enumerated all the projects accomplished under his administration:
1.      The Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) fund for deserving scholars
2.      The poverty rate becomes lower
3.      Lessened national debt
4.      Encouraged more foreign investments and the country’s more open for business
5.      Flood control solution in Laguna Lakeshore Expressway Dike which will soon open for bidding on late 2014

He also cited the tragedies that resulted from calamities that struck the country. Amidst the slowly progressing country, arise the insurgency in Zamboanga, Bohol earthquake and typhoon Yolanda affecting thousands of people and destruction of properties. He extended recovery plans for all victims but it is not yet quite fully accomplished.
Land reform that started from the previous government in spite of many hazards regarding those lands.
Energy crisis and rice supply were also mentioned in his speech. Energy crisis is inevitable by nice shortage can be remedied like importing from other countries. This way to ward-off hoarders.
DAP issue was his finale blow. He said that in dispensing the said fund, people have divided opinions that this DAP is really served to the people in need, or pocketed by some other authorities.

This speech of President Aquino is maybe the longest but it is only a rigor of statements. All his supposedly accomplishments seem to be coy to uplift his declining performance rate. As of now, people are still longing for President Aquino’s promise to give the righteous path and good governance because up to this date, crime rate and rampant graft and corruption still exist.
